Miki Dora Malibu

one comment

Look out for the death defying ‘el switcho’ on a wall of liquid death at Malibu in the mid 60s. Hats off totally to Miki and his bad boy cool – we can all share his pain in some way – but its so obvious what was coming just around the corner, that’d make this all look folksy, flippy and pointless.

  1. Ah man that is so cool! That is proper nostalgia for a time and place I had nothing to do with and yet yearn for. It just seems a more natural, free time in surfing. I must share that with my friends.

I wrote just the other day about great surf movies and most of the best for me were Pre 80’s. Just the footage, music and techniques on display are magic.

Thanks for raising a smile today
