So, Gary – where were you originally from? Where did you hang out? And what years were you surfing?

I grew up in Castlecove, garden variety weekend surfer from early 70s through to mid 80s, mostly between Curly and Bungan, with indelible memories of Long Reef bombie and the Point at Dee Why, mixed in with sailing a skiff, playing guitar, mooching about in my early 20s until uni studies and the ‘real world’ kicked in and, you know the story, new chapters, new characters, new story lines, and here I am 30 years later thinking about those shimmering, innocent (kind of?), sun-soaked days…hence the show – how about you Fiona?
